About Us
Bijou, a French word meaning “jewel”, is an organization that provides comprehensive programming to aid in the development of young girls and teens between the ages of 7-18. Girls are assigned a jewel in accordance with their age. Programming places an emphasis on enhancing self-esteem, affirming identity and nurturing their talents. Several tools including interactive workshop series, a mentoring program and counseling services and volunteer opportunities are offered to the girls who participate in the program.
Mission
Bijou is a non-for-profit organization that teaches young girls and teens that they are precious jewels who possess talents and abilities beyond measure.
Vision
Young girls and teens embracing their identity, an identity of purpose, strength and confidence. They are positioned to not only fulfill their purpose but are also able to reach back to the younger princesses as they lead by example.
Join Us
Monthly meetings are held the 1st Wednesday of each month from 7p-9p. Transportation to the meetings is available.
